Katrina Palmer is one such artist. She considers how we humans use objects to test our humanity, and with that reveals the very inhumanity of who we have been.’  Lisa Le Feuvre Katrina Palmer (b. 1967) is a London-based artist whose investigations of sculptural materiality often explore histories of absence within landscapes and institutional spaces. Her practice encompasses sculpture, writing, audio environments, performance, site-specificity, video and drawing. Palmer was selected as the 2024 National Gallery Artist in Residence, in partnership with Touchstones Rochdale.  The first survey of Palmer’s career to date, this book includes a newly commissioned essay by Oreet Ashery exploring the central themes in the artist’s practice.
