Tuscan is a tribute to our region, Tuscany. This land is characterized by breathtaking landscapes, hills, mountains, cities of art, villages, rivers and the Tyrrhenian Sea that bathes its coasts. Tuscan is a multi-role that is completely at ease in any type of environment. In military tactical theaters, this knife stands out for its versatility to operate in various contexts, from surveillance and patrol operations to combat scenarios. Its adaptability also makes it ideal for use in urban areas where it is necessary to move quickly and with agility. At the same time, Tuscan lends itself perfectly to use in outdoor, survival and bushcraft environments. A new version of the Tuscan model, made of Böhler S600 steel with a hardness of 64 HRC, is now available: Tuscan S600 Black. The great success achieved by our products made with this steel and the requests of our passionate customers have prompted us to expand the range of materials available for Tuscan, offering from today this version in S600, appreciated for its extraordinary performance and hardness. Böhler S600 steel (64 HRC) is used in industrial production to manufacture metalworking tools and in the making of molds. The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition give the knife excellent qualities of hardness, wear resistance and toughness. The presence of cobalt promotes the formation of small, evenly distributed carbides, a characteristic that further improves wear resistance. Tuscan S600 Black is hardened and cryogenically treated, reaching an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC, which gives it great resistance to wear and tear and the ability to keep the edge sharp for a long time. The Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, making it a stainless steel. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK coating for this knife. Tuscan is extremely handy, characterized by a full tang blade lightened in several points in the area under the handle (including a slot positioned in the center of the handle) which allows you to shift the weight of the knife towards the tip in order to increase the impact force and facilitate chopping and batoning operations. The blade of the Tuscan allows you to carry out these different operations thanks to its particular grinding, finer in the part close to the handle and thicker on the vertex. If the bit area lends itself to the chopping and batoning operations mentioned above, the point in the part adjacent to the handle allows cutting operations to be carried out. Unlike grinding, the thickness of the sharpening remains unchanged throughout the blade. The tang can also be used as a glass breaker. The handle, in green color, is composed of 2 ergonomic scales with a new original Extrema Ratio design made of G10 material.
