Wash on a delicates programme at 30ºC, without bleaching. Use a mild detergent and avoid softeners. Don't leave it in the machine once the cycle has finished to ensure that colours remain intact. Tumble dry on a low setting. Avoid leaving it to dry in the sun. Don't worry if the rug starts shedding: this is because of how the cotton has been cut, producing residual fibres. During the first days, we recommend using a hard brush to brush the rug in the direction of the fibres and then finish off by vacuuming the rug. Use a pair of scissors to remove any long threads or pilling. Avoid pulling any threads. Keep the rug away from an open flame.
