Lindy 47894 RJ45 Port Lock 10-pack With the Lindy RJ45 Port Lock, open network ports can be quickly blocked, preventing unauthorized connection of cables or other devices. It provides protection against unauthorized access to a network or system and against accidental or intentional damage to the ports. It also serves as a visual indicator for inactive and disconnected ports - ideal for use in schools, offices, or government institutions. The RJ45 Port Lock consists of a plastic cap that is securely inserted into the RJ45 port using a key. The lock latches into the RJ45 port and can only be removed with the help of the key. The application is simple: Place the lock on the key and insert it into the open port. When you pull out the key, the lock secures itself in the port. To remove it, reinsert the key into the lock until it clicks into place, and then pull the lock out. Security Note: The lock primarily serves as a physical and visual deterrent. However, a determined attacker can still dismantle it with skill and the appropriate tools. Please note that the key only fits the lock of the same color.
