Art holiday cards from The Met. Send "Season's Greetings" to your loved ones with a handwritten note from this set of 15 holiday cards. Each card reproduces Seki (ca. 1848-49), a winter scene by Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797-1858). Seki was located where the two highways of Tokaido and Ise meet on their way to Kyoto, then the imperial capital. On a snowy day, a few travelers pass the torii gate, probably marking the pilgrim's route to Ise. This charming woodblock print is now in The Met's Asian art collection. Please note that our holiday cards reproduce original works of art, some of which include visual artifacts and imperfections.
