Description
Animal Print, Wool Silk Wrap Perennially popular, our best-selling shawl evokes the stylized peacock feathers on an iridescent Favrile vase (ca. 1900) in The Met collection. The shawl's rich jewel tones and soft drape make it a wonderfully versatile accessory. Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933) embodied the artistic spirit of America's Gilded Age. In the early 1890s, he developed a method of blending different colors together in glass while it was in a molten state, calling the results "Favrile," for which he was widely celebrated.
