The AMP16 is the latest amp card by iBasso, specifically designed for their DX340 player. This is a hubrid tube/solid-state amplifier, designed to bolster the already impressive DX340 1-bit DSD DAC. Dual Raytheon JAN6418 Tubes The AMP16 is engineered with two Raytheon JAN6418 directly heated vacuum tubes, which are celebrated for their compact dimensions, low power consumption, and exceptional operational stability. Tube and AB Output Modes In addition to its TUBE output mode, the AMP16 features a Class AB amplification circuit, enabling users to seamlessly switch between these two output configurations. In TUBE mode, the sound is characterized by its sweet and warm tonal qualities, showcasing the exceptional characteristics of vacuum tubes. Conversely, Class AB mode offers enhanced resolution and excellent dynamic range. 100 Step JRC Control The 100 step JRC volume control not only adjusts the volume but also simultaneously reduces the potential noise of the vacuum tubes.
