Spectra is 40% stronger than aramid and fifteen times stronger than steel and is one of the world's strongest and lightest fibres. This spectra denim not only has supreme strength, it also incorporates stretch for all day comfort and is able to repels moisture, so you stay dry. It is also able to pull heat away from the body, helping the rider stay cool and comfortable. Spectra is also non-irritating and hypo-allergenic. Knox is a Spectra Fibre partner, meaning that they have the privilege of being the first company to work with this denim.For rider protection, CE approved Knox MICRO-LOCK armour for the Knees and Hips have been supplied as standard, and there are invisible armour pockets with external access for easy removal, great for when you are out and about and don't need the armour off the bike. The MICRO-LOCK armour comes with a 5-year guarantee when registered, and due to the high amounts of protection on offer, the Jeans are CE approved to EN17092- 3 Class AAA - meaning that the protection on offer is suited to touring gear. It specifies two seconds of abrasion resistance in Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) at 412.6rpm (about 70km/h), one second at 265.3rpm in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet) and 0.5 seconds at 147.4rpm (the equivalent of around 25kmh) in Zone 3 (inner arms, torso and legs).These Jeans have been carefully tailored with a tapered fit so that they are comfortable on and off the bike. There are also 4 deep pockets, YKK zips throughout and leather branding.
