GKN CV Joints permit an easier motion on both wheel and differential applications due to the materials used and product development techniques applied.Constant Velocity (CV) Joints are engineered as a 'mechanical coupling in which the rotational speed of the output shaft is the same as that of the input shaft whatever the operating angle of the joint'. This ensures the rotation of the driveshaft equals the turn of the wheel at any given wheel angle.GKN CV Joints are a beneficial addition to many competition applications as the products offer increased joint life, reduced running temperatures which decreases stress on the product and significant weight reduction over standard joints. These features ensure the products can deal with the stresses and strains of many forms of motorsport.The products are supplied in various specifications to suit a wide range of requirements, with a variety of outer diameters, depths, bolt hole pitch circle diameters (PCD), bolt hole diameters and teeth/spline numbers.
