Transcend's RDC8 card reader can be used on new computers with USB type C interface, e.g. the Apple 12-inch MacBook or the Google Chromebook Pixel 2. Thanks to its four card slots (SD, microSD, CompactFlash), the RDC8 card reader can work with a variety of memory cards. Due to the USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, the RDC8 is suitable for fast data transfer from the flash card to the computer with type C USB port.

Transcend's RDC8 card reader is particularly easy to connect to the host device thanks to the twist-proof USB type C connector and is compatible with current notebooks with USB type C interface, such as the Apple 12-inch MacBook or the Google Chromebook Pixel 2.

Thanks to its USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, Transcends RDC8 card reader gets the most out of your high-speed memory card. In addition, the card reader has an LED indicator that indicates whether the card is inserted and whether data is being transferred.

Transcend's RDC8 card reader is equipped with four card slots for SD, microSD and CompactFlash memory cards and thus allows different formats of storage media and data to be transferred with only one card reader.

The RDC8 card reader supports the exclusive RecoveRx software, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Transcend website. The easy-to-use application allows you to thoroughly scan the storage medium for any remaining deleted files that can be recovered. USB sticks, memory cards, MP3 players, external hard drives and SSDs are supported.
