USB Device Server
A USB Device Server is a network adapter that uses Silex USB Virtual Link technology to make USB devices network-ready. Virtually any type of USB device can be used in and over the network, just like directly connected via USB cable. Existing software and drivers can continue to be used.

SX Virtual Link
Silex Technology has developed the SX Virtual Link 4.0.0 or later application software for Windows computers. It adds a virtual USB port to the machine that the computer uses to exchange data with the USB device. The operating system behaves like a direct USB cable connection, although it actually communicates bi-directionally over a network connection.

IEEE 802.1X Authentication
Compatible with IEEE 802.1X authentication. Supported protocols are EAP-TLS, PEAP (PEAPv0), EAP-TTLS.

Data encryption with AES-256
Data encryption for high-security networks. Enables secure transmission of sensitive data over network cables.

Password for USB port
The password can be set individually for each USB port. This allows you to control who is allowed to access a particular USB device.

Isochronous Data Transfer Mode
Devices such as industrial cameras (full- and high-speed) and speakers that require continuous and real-time data transmission can also be used in a network environment.

Standard TCP/IP printing (LPR/RAW)
The commonly used printer protocols RAW and LPR are supported. The DS-600 can be used both as a standard TCP/IP print server (without the use of software) and as a virtual print server for GDI and multifunction printers (when using SX Virtual Link).

Network attached Storage (NAS) capability
USB storage media can be configured as NAS on the DS-600. Use without connecting via software possible. Multiple users can read or write at the same time.
