The meter will conduct preliminary checks and indicate when it's ready for the blood sample. Use a lancing device to draw a small blood sample from your finger. Apply the blood directly to the indicated area on the end of the test strip. Allow the strip to absorb the necessary amount of blood. After a few moments, the meter will display your blood glucose reading, which it will also automatically save. Discard the used test strip and turn off your meter.
