Named after the time period depicted in the print, this vintage gift shop-style T-shirt is made from super soft organic cotton and features a dinosaur print provided by the Mary Evans Picture Library on a green background with a crew neckline, short sleeves, and a boxy oversized fit. Information on the print: Dinosaur illustrations adapted from an original chart part of a series published by J & J Colman Ltd, the well-known Norwich manufacturer of mustard and other household products. In common with many firms of the early twentieth century, Colman’s published numerous collectible books, pamphlets and prints to educate and engage with their customers. This example comes from the Robert Opie Collection represented by Mary Evans Picture Library. Robert’s astonishing collection of consumer products forms the basis of the Museum of Brands in London. Based in a converted church hall in Blackheath, south London, Mary Evans Picture Library has been supplying vintage imagery to a range of clients since 1964.
