The solid uprights at the back are the backbone of the design with the more ornate front legs offering that bit of decoration to set it apart from the crowd. Attached to these are the ornate, hand-carved arm rests that, along with the solid seating area, offer a slightly rustic appeal as well. Finished with a lovely lime wash … Another great feature are the drawers set into the front making it a storage bench at the same time. We can only wonder where all the individual pieces originally came from but then that really is the beauty of reclaimed teak furniture – the sense of mysticism that surrounds it. It almost goes without saying that the teak wood will age gracefully and is quite simply the best wood for outdoor use over long periods of time due to the dense, oily qualities of the wood that make it superbly workable and perfect for use in outdoor furniture.
