Junghans Watch Max Bill Edition Set 2020. 027/4018.02 Every year, Junghans release a special limited edition Junghans Max Bill watch set and for 2020, we are treated to this stunning duo consisting of a 34mm automatic time and date version known as the Kleine Automatic and a 40mm chronograph nicknamed the Chronoscope. Both designs honour successful Swiss architect, painter and graphic designer Max Bill, who was first approached by Junghans in the 1950’s to design a range of clocks and watches. His remarkable ability to blend aesthetics and manufacture has become synonymous with the German watch manufacturer, who once again do a stellar job at tributing his work. Both Junghans Max Bill 2020 watches within the set are powered by the J880.1 automatic winding movement which provides hours, minutes, seconds and date. The Chronoscope variation also features chronograph dials for 12 hours and 30 minutes and a day window at 3 o’clock. The matte black PVD stainless steel cases blend together wonderfully with the matte black dial decorated with juxtaposing Arabic numerals and sleek luminous hands. Continuing with the engrossing interplay of black and white, both Junghans Max Bill Limited Edition 2020 watches are fitted with bright white calfskin leather straps and classic black PVD stainless steel pin buckles. For days when white might be too much, the set also comes with two additional black calfskin leather straps that can be easily changed over thanks to the quick release system.
